Mark Zumwalt

Mark has coached leaders, taught leadership skills, and led organizational change inside some of America’s biggest brands. By combining his experience as a leader within organizations with his ten years as a coach, Mark helps individuals and teams first envision how they want to lead, and then helps them make that change happen.

Mark’s approach is built around his expertise in counseling, organizational change, and alternative dispute resolution. He has a passion for what happens between people – the ways in which we communicate, collaborate, conflict, connect, and fail to do so. His commitment to curiosity and intellectual rigor drives him to explore the current research in psychology, neuroscience, and related fields, and to help his clients apply this wisdom to their leadership.

Mark has taken this approach into some of the biggest names in technology, healthcare, finance, and higher education including Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Aetna Health, Goldman Sachs and Princeton.  He also led a change management effort impacting more than 2,000 people in 40 countries.

Mark lives in Brooklyn, New York, where he can often be found on his bicycle.

Education & Training:

Mark’s formal education includes advanced training and certifications from Corentus, Columbia University and the New York Peace Institute.  He holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from New York University, and did his undergraduate work at Brown.
